2024-2025 Officers

My name is Ben Smith and I am honored to serve as our Chapter President. I am a senior here at BCHS and have been in FFA for three years. I am a part of the, Parli Pro Team, Opening/Closing Team and the sectional winning Ag Business & Banking Team. Other teams or contests that I have participated in include; Creed, Impromptu, and BIG. I have shown market goats for 7 years along with Pygmy goats, hogs, turkeys and rabbits in previous years. My favorite thing about being involved in FFA are the endless opportunities to grow in leadership, build confidence, learn from those before us and creating friendships that will last a lifetime. I have no doubt that if you give FFA a chance, the Lord will give you so much more than you ever believed possible

Hello, my name is Peyton McGowan and I am honored and blessed to serve as your BCHS FFA Vice President. I am currently a senior and this will be my 4th year in the FFA program. I first joined FFA to show my animals at the fair but as time went on I found that it was so much more! I have competed in opening and closing, creed speaking to the regional level, impromptu, livestock judging, vet science, floral, as well as running and being slated for regional office. I have served the chapter as the 2021 Greenhand Secretary, Chapter Sentinel, a chair of the “growing leaders” committee, and now your Chapter VP. Along with leadership, I show cattle and horses. I have shown market steers for the last 7 years and horses for the last 14 years.

My name is Bree Goessman and I am absolutely overjoyed that I have the privilege to be your Bakersfield Christian FFA Vice President. I am currently a senior at BCHS. During my time in the program I have had the opportunity to participate in many leadership development programs. I have also had the opportunity to have leadership positions for this chapter. In 2021 I was the Chapter Greenhand President, and in 2022 I was a committee leader for “young leaders”, and your chapter reporter in 2023. I not only like leading, but love plants and enjoy selling plants that I grow at out BCHS FFA Farmers Market! Outside of FFA I enjoy playing volleyball for BCHS, and hanging out with my officer team! I am most looking forward to seeing my chapter grow and creating new bonds with our chapter members.

 Hello everyone! I am thrilled to serve as your chapter secretary this year! I am looking forward to all the amazing things we will accomplish together. When I’m not wearing my blue jacket, showing pigs, or competing on the advanced parliamentary procedure, veterinary science team, CA Water Quality team, and speaking contests I spend my time managing my goats and chickens. I learn something new from them every day! Additionally, I am proud to serve as the South Valley Section Treasurer. This role is an incredible opportunity for me to represent you and develop my leadership skills. This year, we will build on the theme "Our Tradition, Our Future, Our Legacy." I am ready to work hard and make every moment count. FFA has played a significant role in my life, and I am excited to give back and help make this year the best one yet!  Hello! My name is Tristan Leach, and I am excited to serve as the Treasurer for our chapter for the 2024-2025 school year. I am currently a junior at BCHS and have been a proud member of FFA since my freshman year. In FFA, I participate in the advanced Parliamentary Procedure team and the Small Engines team. I have also competed in events like Opening and Closing Ceremonies and the Novice Record Book. Over the past nine years, I have shown cattle and turkeys at the fair through our FFA program. In addition to my involvement in FFA, I have served on the executive committee and have been an active member of our chapter since I started in high school. Outside of FFA, I play on the BCHS junior varsity soccer team. 

Hello everyone! My name is Eleni Storm, and I am proud to be a fourth-year member of FFA. Throughout my time in this amazing organization, I have participated in various activities, including livestock judging, creed speaking, and opening and closing ceremonies, among others. My passion for agriculture has blossomed through my involvement in FFA, and it is a love I will carry with me for the rest of my life. I am excited to support each of you in making the most of your Blue Jacket experience! Let's make it a memorable journey together! 

 Hello everyone! My name is Carson Flanagan, and I am excited to serve as your Chapter Sentinel for the 2024-2025 school year. I am currently a senior at Bakersfield Christian High School and have been a proud member of the FFA program for three years. As I embark on my final year in FFA, I am eager to make a positive impact. My journey in FFA began with my love for animals. Caring for and having fun with them sparked my interest in this incredible program. However, I soon discovered that FFA is about much more than just animals and farms. It’s a place for personal growth, learning, and building lasting relationships. As I grew within the program, I realized that there are many opportunities to develop leadership skills, including various speaking competitions. I have participated in events such as Opening and Closing Ceremonies, Creed, Impromptu Speaking, Parliamentary Procedure, and the Veterinary Science team. Additionally, I have shown hogs at the Kern County Fair for all four years of my FFA journey. In 2021, I had the honor of serving as the Greenhand Sentinel, and over time, I became involved with the Building Communities Committee. Now, alongside my amazing team, I am here to serve you as your Chapter Sentinel. I encourage each of you to embrace your journey with FFA and make the most of the opportunities that lie ahead!

  Hello everyone! My name is Gianna Milicic, and I am honored to serve as the Bakersfield Christian FFA Chaplain for the 2024-2025 school year. I am currently a senior at Bakersfield Christian High School, and I have been an active member of the Bakersfield Christian FFA for the past four years. During my time in FFA, I have had the opportunity to show market goats, dairy heifers, and equine at the Kern County Fair. I am proud to have earned my State Degree, and I am working towards achieving my American Degree. My passion lies in the dairy industry, and I plan to study either veterinary science or dairy science in the future. My goal is to become a dairy veterinarian or to manage a dairy business. I am excited about the journey ahead and look forward to making a positive impact in the FFA community!
